Videojet
Technologies Inc. (a Danaher company) introduces the new Marsh ®
8000 large character ink jet printer. The Marsh 8000 is a versatile,
modular, large character ink jet printing system that prints high-resolution
(150 x 300 dpi) large characters and bar codes for outer-case coding
on shipping containers and corrugated cartons. The system is capable
of line speeds up to 200 feet per minute (61 meters per minute).
"Each Marsh 8000
controller is designed to run up to eight printheads and can operate
two independent production lines simultaneously, says David Allen,
Videojet product manager. "The auto-purge printheads use patented,
solvent wash technology to thoroughly clean the printheads at pre-set
intervals for maintenance-free operation."
An intuitive, color touch-screen,
graphical user interface simplifies operation and language/character
setting, eliminating the need for software reconfigurations. The
controller is housed in an IP-54 (NEMA 12)-rated stainless steel
enclosure with an optional IP65 (NEMA 4x) kit. To enable communication
to corporate networks and other devices, the Marsh 8000 offers Ethernet
and RS-232 connections.
The Marsh 8000 printheads
are designed to run with Videojet's Series 2000 fluids for maximum
flexibility with substrates, high print quality and fewer maintenance
problems. Series 2000 inks are currently available in black, red,
green and blue.
